This Sanctuary, formerly the Parish of St. Peter and St. Paul, was built in the 16th century. At the moment it is dedicated to the Virgin of Carmen, patron saint of the town.

The building is located on top of a hill, so it can be seen from any point in town. Its main façade is of baroque style; its first base features mermaid shaped sculptures representing sin and temptations. The niches showcase sculptures of saints, including those of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, who were the original patrons of the Church.
