Day of the Angangueo Miner

Angangueo

Family - Traditional

In the XVII century, the Angangueo mines of copper, silver and gold were discovered; but due to a disaster in the Dolores mine, in 1953, they are no longer a production area, but a national patrimony.

This district celebrates the Day of the miner on July 11, at the monument that carries the same name. Besides being the headquarters for the festivity, the area is also a spectacular lookout place.
